The Artist, golden age nostalgia?

Film

The Artist: a great movie, “one of the most enjoyable movie experiences”, a masterpice of our ages… that’s what everyone is thinking especially the critics  from Golden Globes, Bafta Awards and I am sure this movie is going to win it all at The Oscars.  But all of this appreciation from the critics is based on the real thing, a true and objective point of view or is just nostalgia for the Golden Age of film,  for that beautiful movies from the beginnings?

Is this movie so good that it deserves to shut down  films like Drive, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Shame or Melancholia? Is just me or this movie has become an excuse for some old critics to show the world how “real movies” are done by recreating some old silent movie charm?

Bafta Awards!!!

Film

The 65th British Academy film awards is on tonight!!!!!! Until now THE ARTIST  was the favorite. Can wait for the best director award!!!!!

And  the award for best director goes to  Michel Hazanavicius- The Artist.  I am a little sad that Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive didn’t win it…I had my fingers crosses for him, but it seems that The Artist was the jury’s favorite.

Leading Actor , guess who??? ohhh yes, again a price for The Artist- Jean Dujardin. What about Michael Fassbender (Shame)????

The best film Bafta: THE ARTIST. So in total this films has won  seven awards including the best picture, director and actor prizes.

And again so many good movies like Drive, The Girl with Dragon Tattoo, Let’s talk about Kevin, Shame, Melancholia and others were left beside. I thing that I already know which movie is going to win everything at the Oscars…
