I was looking though my old school essays and found one I totally forgot about. The title “Contemporary Issues in Psychology: How to fall in love” made my curious, did I wrote that? when? why? when did I know so much about love that I decided to write an essay about it?
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony-Mahatma Gandhi, that was the quote my paper started with, it was like reading a paper somebody else wrote a long time ago. Many different scientifical explanations about love and how this feeling appears, what does it mean, quotes and medical opinions.
And the most important thing put at the end with the big title “How to fall in love”. Apparently it is a very easy process because York psychologist, Professor Arthur Arun who has been studying why people fall in love says that it only takes 34 minutes. So here’s what you have to do next time you go out if u really want to fall in love 😀
- Find a complete stranger.
- Reveal to each other intimate details about your lives for half an hour.
- Then, stare deeply into each other’s eyes without talking for four minutes.
This professor made some people to carry out the above 3 steps and found that many of his couples felt deeply attracted after the 34 minute experiment. Two of them later got married, so what do you say, would you give it a try?
