A Royal Affair, a movie about “a young queen, who is married to an insane king, falls secretly in love with her physician – and together they start a revolution that changes a nation forever.” (IMDB)
Great movie!, i thought so I decided to go with two of my friends to see it at a movie festival that just started in our city. We bought the tickets, made our stash of popcorn, Coke and candies and we entered in the cinema with a big smile on our faces, excited to see the Oscar nominated movie that everyone was talking about.
Then a guy comes in front of us and starts talking in a weird language we didn’t understand. We exchanged looks and i whispered “Did anyone check if the movie is subtitled in English”. And the response: “We thought u did…”. Of course we started laughing in our awkward way, probably disturbing all the people around us then when the movie actually started. And suprise suprise it was in Danish with subtitles in an unknown language to us. Again a session of wild and noisy laughs and the three weirdos were staying in the middle of a cinema watching some pretty images and making up the lines for each character. We lasted almost 30 minutes and then made our big exit with choked laughs and maybe some applause for the other spectators. By the time we succeeded in opening the big cinema door we were red because we laughed so much and decided to go for beers.
After a few days I watched the movie from my comfortable bed and I have to say I was a bit disappointed cause i didn’t get the chance to have the cinema experience cause the landscapes were really good. If u like history then is a good movie to watch: drama, romance, political games u get everything from this movie.
